I just started writing this script for my young adults. They need something gritty and explosive. The best Northern Writers in the UK have written gritty and challenging story narratives, so these are the kinds of parts my students audition for. So, I try to write them with this in mind.
I would like to know your thoughts.

INT. LIVING ROOM - EVENING
(Becky and Tom sit closely together on the sofa. Becky snuggles into Tom, who seems slightly distant. The TV plays in the background.)
(Olivia enters the room, stopping in her tracks as she notices them both.)
OLIVIA
Oh... I didn’t know you were here.
BECKY
(smirking)
Yes, just watching this film. It’s about a girl who goes on holiday with her mates instead of her boyfriend... and well, let’s just say things don’t go as planned.
(Tom shifts uncomfortably. Olivia glances at him, sensing tension.)
OLIVIA
(eyeing Tom)
Um. Sounds... interesting.
(Tom avoids eye contact, rubbing the back of his neck.)
OLIVIA
(suspiciously)
I thought you were going to talk to Becky about—
